OUR STORY
MORE THAN HEAT.
IT'S A TASTE OF FLORIDA.

ROOTED IN FLORIDA
The Datil Pepper Heritage
The story of the Datil pepper begins more than 200 years ago. It is widely believed that Minorcan settlers brought the pepper to St. Augustine, Florida, from the Mediterranean in the late 1700s.
Over the centuries, this remarkable pepper became a treasured part of Florida's First Coast, celebrated for its unique balance of sweetness and heat.
Long before 33 Peppers was founded, years spent working as a chef along Florida's First Coast shaped our appreciation for fresh ingredients, local seafood, and the belief that the best meals are built on quality, balance, and shared experiences.
FROM HARVEST TO HOMEMADE
Where 33 Peppers Began
In 2014, an abundant harvest of Datil peppers inspired us to begin experimenting in our own kitchen. Combining years of culinary experience with family recipes, Old Florida traditions, and the unmistakable flavor of the Datil pepper, we crafted our very first sauces.
After countless batches—and plenty of enthusiastic taste tests from family and friends—we knew we had created something special.
What began as a passion project quickly became a mission: sharing the unique flavor of the Datil pepper while celebrating the laid-back spirit and welcoming hospitality that make Florida's coast so special.

Our earliest batches, handcrafted one mason jar at a time.

ISLAND STYLE
More Than a Flavor
It's slowing down to appreciate the moments that matter. It's gathering around the grill with family, enjoying fresh seafood after a day on the water, sharing stories as the sun sets, and making time for good food and even better company.
That spirit inspires everything we create. Every bottle is handcrafted to deliver bold, balanced flavor that enhances great food rather than covering it up. Whether you're grilling fresh catch, smoking barbecue, topping tacos, or creating your own family favorite, our products are made to bring people together.
Island Style isn't about where you live—it's about how you live. It's choosing quality over shortcuts, sharing meals with the people you love, and finding joy in life's simple pleasures.
WHY 33?
The Story Behind Our Name
For generations, the number 33 has appeared throughout both of our families in meaningful ways. Over time, it became much more than just a number—it became a quiet reminder that we were on the right path. We came to think of it as our North Star, appearing at just the right moments and encouraging us to trust the journey ahead.
Today, 33 represents faith, family, purpose, and the belief that when you follow your passion and stay true to your values, extraordinary things can happen. It reminds us why we started this journey and inspires us to create products that bring people together through exceptional food and unforgettable flavor.
Just as the St. Augustine Lighthouse has guided generations along Florida's coast, the number 33 continues to remind us to stay true to who we are, where we've come from, and the path still ahead.

The St. Augustine Lighthouse has watched over Florida's First Coast since 1874—a lasting symbol of guidance and finding your way home.
Inspired by the Coast.
